When driving to Bude from the north, you can come off the M5 at J27 or J30.
There is very little difference in the distance or travel time. Junction 27 uses the North Devon Link Road and winds its way towards Barnstaple, Bideford, Clovelly and Bude.
Junction 30 takes you to Exeter and goes via the Okehampton bypass to Bude.
Personally, we prefer to carry onto junction 30 and go through Exeter as the North Devon Link Road is notorious for accidents and we have often been delayed. at busy periods.
Below are both route options to give you the choice in case of accidents or road closures.

EXETER WAY:

1. Leave the M5 at Exit 30 and join the A30 (towards Bodmin/Okehampton)
2. Continue on the A30 for 43 miles
3. Take the slip road to A395/North Cornwall/Wadebridge/Camelford/A39
4. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit for 0.2 miles
5. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A395 for 7 miles
6. Turn right onto B3262 (signposted to Bude) for 1.9 miles
7. Turn right onto A39 (signposted to Bude) for 8 miles
8. Turn left (signposted Widemouth Bay) for 1 mile
9. Follow the coast road and take a right into Atlantic Close just before the beach car park
10. Turn right and then left again to the upper part of the street
11. Baywatch is the second property on the left with the grey garage door and chippings
12. The front door is located to the right of the property, next to the log store

BARNSTAPLE WAY:

1) Leave the M5 at Junction 27 and take the A361 exit to Tiverton/Barnstaple
2) At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A361 for 6 miles
3) At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A361 for 19 miles
4) At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on A361 for 8 miles
5) At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A361 for 1.4 miles
6) At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A39 for 1 mile
7) At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A39 for 6 miles
8) At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A39 for 10 miles
9) At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A39 for 14 mi
10) At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Binhamy Rd/A39 for 3 miles
11) Continue to follow A39 for 3 miles
12) Turn right onto Leverlake Road (signposted Widemouth Bay) for 1 mile
13) Follow the coast road and take a right into Atlantic Close just before the beach car park
14) Turn right and then left again to the upper part of the street
15) Baywatch is the second property on the left with the grey garage door on the left and chippings
16) The front door is located to the right of the property, next to the log store.

PARKING

When arriving at Baywatch there is ample parking for four cars on the driveway in front of the property. 

Check in is from 3pm.
